About the project
As with all good design systems, PayPal boasts of a robust design system that ensures its customers are provided with a consistent, easy to use, and trusted experience across its products and services. In addition, these experiences are made accessible, to make it easy for users of all abilities to interact with the product.
I was part of an incredible team that understood various product needs at PayPal, and built components based on the atomic design system to solve for them. The idea was to help teams build product experiences quickly and efficiently, and to made sure we created a living design system that could endure, had the flexibility to evolve, and support constantly changing brand needs.
As part of the PPUI design system team, I was involved, and supported the following:
-
Figma Design Kit
-
Guidelines documentation
-
Code libraries for engineers
-
Token system
-
Design forums to support questions from the community
-
Small nuggets of educational material to communicate important aspect of the design system to the community
-
Office Hours to provide support for design teams
-
Partnership with product teams to accelerate pattern adoption
